Adult Activity Days

Adult Activity Days are held every Monday at Grove House Stables Equestrian Centre.

Adult Activity Days are held every Monday at Grove House Stables Equestrian Centre. It’s a great opportunity for riders of all levels and abilities to gain hands on experience with the horses on our yard. The day begins at 10.00am and consists of a one hour stable management session (covering practical and theory topics) and a one hour class riding lesson. Following a break for lunch, which can be taken in the Pantry 8020, the afternoon session consists of another hour of stable management and another class riding session. It’s a fun, friendly and informal day.

On purchase you will receive a confirmation email, please use this email as proof of purchase when booking and attending your session.

Booking:  To book your session simply give us a call on 01427 890802 and quote your order number.  Bookings are usually made at least one week in advanced, but we can sometimes take bookings at shorter notice.  Unfortunately we cannot accept bookings via Facebook or Email.

Cancellation Policy: Please try to give us as much notice as possible if you have to cancel a booking.  A charge of 50% of the lesson price will be made for any ride cancelled after 4pm on the day prior to your booking.  We regret that this will apply whatever the cause of cancellation in order to avoid the general surcharge that would have to be added on to all lessons to cover staffing and running costs.  Less than 1 hours notice or non-attendance incurs a 100% charge.  If you arrive late for your lesson for any reason, we will be unable to run your lesson over the time it is due to finish and full payment will be required for the lesson.  We do not accept cancellation via Facebook or Email.

Clothing: It is a good idea to bring a waterproof coat, as lessons continue regardless of the weather. If you have not ridden before, wear comfortable leggins or loose fitting jeans, flat shoes (they must have a small heel) or wellies (no trainers).  Riding hats can be borrowed. However, after your first few lessons, it is a good idea to purchase your own hat which should be a minimum standard PAS 1998 & 2011 with Kitemark, VG1 with Kitemark or SNELL E2001. It is also advisable to purchase proper riding boots and body protector for jumping.
